Dragth­ing Identity

Using a plug-in called Mul­ti­ple Spline Attach http://www.xlentplugs.com/ I recre­ated a new incar­na­tion of the icon for Dragth­ing http://www.dragthing.com/. It was a spe­cial case sit­u­a­tion and MSA ended up being the only solu­tion that would work for this project at the time. MSA allowed me to assign a singe tile to a spline and then shape the tile to the spline and repeat it with pre­cise con­trol. Once every­thing looked good I was able to ani­mated the tile with MSA along the spline.

Prod­uct Explorations

I love work­ing with a Nurbs based mod­eler when explor­ing var­i­ous forms for prod­ucts, I get much more speed out of work­ing with curves that be changed and tweaked quickly to see alter­na­tive iter­a­tions of an idea explored to it’s fullest.
