Sneek Peek

Here’s a little taste of a replacement set of application icons I’ve been working for Adobe CS4 (personal project). I felt the current design was uninspiring. I took my cue from the retail boxes and added a bit of todays look to the design. Keep an eye on the site for the complete set as I will be releasing these in varity of formats including iContainer!

Cro-Mag Rally Top Paid App of 2008 on iTunes

Cro-Mag Rally just keeps surprising me month after month. Apple put Cro-Mag Rally in the Top iTunes Paid Applications of 2008 category. As a result, Cro-Mag started climbing the list again and as of this writing is sitting nice and high at the number 2 position! Not so shabby after considering the launch of the App Store was back in October.

Below is a direct link to Cro-Mag Rally in the iTunes App Store.

Animal Portrait

I gave The Animal Portrait a complete make over. Now the site is ready for the future and plays well with mobile devices. Funny thing, people keep asking me if I do what I do with Flash. No I don’t with Flash, because Flash doesn’t work with everything, which is why code will always be better.

Be sure to check out the new site design and the new images. Walter does incredible work with light. The man is a true artist in the studio.

USA today shouts out to Cro-Mag Rally!

By Marc Saltzman for USA TODAY

iPhone and iPod Touch owners can download hundreds of games from Apple’s popular App Store (part of iTunes). A good handful are free, such as Tapulous’ musical Tap Tap Revenge and Jason Linhart’s Enjoy Sudoku Daily Free puzzler. Most games range from $1.99 to $9.99 and take advantage of the iPhone’s touch-screen, built-in sensors and online connectivity. Game writer Marc Saltzman offers a few worthy games.

For the racing fan

Cro-Mag Rally

Consider it a cross between The Flintstones and Formula 1. You’re a speed-thirsty caveman (or cavewoman) racing prehistoric vehicles through deserts, jungles and snow-covered mountains. Collect power-ups, avoid dangerous obstacles and use primitive weaponry to take out rival riders. Players control the action by simply tilting the iPhone in a given direction. (Pangea, $1.99)

Cro-Mag Rally at the Apple store!

A co-worker told me that our local Apple store had an icon of Cro-Mag Rally hanging in the front window. So my wife and I drove over to take a picture. We were surprised to see that another image also showed off Cro-Mag Rally inside the store as well!

The Unusual Suspects

Keep your eyes peeled and your mouse ready to click on the store because these rare and cool figures are one of a kind. No second chances on these demented works of art! HINT — October 9th in the EARLY AM EST

From the Plaseebo.net site:

Autumn finds the Night Gamers, Wilber and Orvil still enjoying evenings in Manhattan. At 4 AM or so while navigating the streets a few feet above human eye level in early October they discovered the Halloween window display at Forbidden Planet on Broadway and 13th. They were ecstatic, zipping back and forth in front of the glass like giant bumble bees pausing for an instant in front of each one of the dozens of masks. A bewildering mix of gruesome and fun expressions in an endless variety of rubbery goodness, Frankenstein, Godzilla, Mickey, T2, Bill Clinton, goblins, ghosts and carved pumpkins galore. In the excitement of their find our travelers both began to glow with the color changing effects they normally exhibit when engrossed in gaming. And then the real discovery was revealed to them by their reflections in the window. Wilber and Orvil’s faces morfed into the face of each mask they were thinking of, as many as ten different masks a minute. It would seem while traversing the 30 second time shift from their parallel universe to ours, the molecular structure of their bodies has become flexible, thus giving them this new ability with which they are delighted. Halloween became Wilber and Orvil’s most favorite holiday, a shape shifters dream come true.

In celebration Wilber and Orvils discovery and this great Holiday ( its my favorite also ) I will offer this collection of one of a kind custom Night Gamers in the store later this week.

Holy FRACK! I’m watching TV the other night and then I see this ad pop up on the screen and there is Cro-Mag Rally being shown on the iPhone! I screamed for my wife to come into the room to check out my work being shown on TV!

Then it dawned on me, I could just show her the link here, but it’s not the same as seeing it unexpectedly on the tube I guess. wØØt!
